The Club supports and encourages all its skaters to go through the USFSA Learn to Skate Program, also called "Basic Skills", offered by the many different ice arenas in the area. This is a very cost-effective way to learn the basics of skating, whether your interest is in competitive skating, recreational skating or hockey.

After completing the basic elements, many will join a skating club for private lessons. Instruction is available during our Club sessions from Introductory through the most competitive levels of skating.

The Lansing Skating Club views it’s mission as providing diverse figure skating programs for all levels of skaters to allow for and encourage the development of programs which meet the needs of a broad base of skaters while focusing on a core of elite skating programs necessary for serious competitive figure skating training, and to develop a reputation as a premiere training club in Michigan.  The Lansing Skating Club is an organization dedicated to the advancement of figure skating in all its forms.  This includes:
